Another shot at the jellyfish/vein idea.

I did this one a bit more openly and fun, So it started off as just a sketch right onto the canvas, no plan or references....just to try some different things, and a bit of a speedier painting (so a much smaller scale!).

11"x14", oil on canvas

..it feels a little anime to me.

Updated! Here's the finished version... no glare.

Looking at the part where the jellyfish limbs (?) enter the girls neck made me shiver. Yaqqy yet amazing.

Oh thank you. You know what, they're supposed to be tenticle tips.. not smoke though... but my boyfriend thought they were smoke, too, so I told him he was stupid. But Now I guess I have to admit that he's (and you're) right... anyway I touched them up, I still need to replace the pic. Thanks!
